Learn to do right. See that justice is done — help those who are oppressed, 
give orphans their rights, 
and defend widows. (Isaiah 1:17) 

Beginning with a group of orphans in Mbale, we are responding to the call of God to seek justice and extend help to our family in Christ. 





" I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ..." Ephesians 3:17-18


Each of us have experienced the power of Jesus to redeem and transform lives. As we respond to the call to fight injustice and poverty, we are rooted in the values and love of Christ, seeking to share this love and see more lives transformed by the hope that knowing God brings. For He "is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine..." (v20)

Alleviating poverty requires intervention and a process of rebuilding. Practically, for the group of children we are helping to care for, this initially means meeting their basic needs for food, clothing and shelter. Beyond this, the vision and end goal is to see a restored and thriving community, equipped with facilities, education and everything else necessary for a sustainable, healthy and hope-filled community. 



Meet the team



Moses is the founder and visionary leader of Bayete. Passionate about Jesus and responding to His call, Moses oversees and coordinates our work in Uganda



Karen is the founding partner and visionary for Bayete in the UK. Moved by the needs of the children during a mission trip to Uganda, Karen partnered with Moses and now oversees our work, sponsorship and fundraising in the UK



Edrine is our lead social worker for Bayete childcare. He coordinates our sponsorship programme, bringing the light of Jesus to the children and local community and ensuring a response to the needs of the children in Uganda


Alongside Moses, Karen and Edrine, Bayete is made possible by a team of hardworking people and trustees in Uganda, England and America, who contribute invaluable work to make the vision of Bayete possible
